We use digital radiography here at Paws and Claws Animal Hospital. Radiography (often called x-rays) is a non-invasive method for examining your pet’s internal organs such as heart, lungs, gastrointestinal tract, urinary system, muscular skeletal system and reproductive system. We also have a digital radiography machine for our dental procedures. Digital radiographic image quality is much higher than the old film x-ray and more environmentally friendly because there are no longer any chemicals to pollute water systems. It also decreases radiation exposure to your pet since we can manipulate images on a computer without having to retake pictures. Digital radiography is also convenient as we have a computer record of your pet’s images for future reference and we can email images to specialists if needed.
