Paws and Claws Animal Hospital is looking for a Registered Veterinary Technologist to add to our excellent team.
We are a privately owned clinic in Langley, BC specializing in the health of beloved canine and feline family members,
serving our community for over 22 years.

You would be joining a helpful and friendly team that includes 2 RVTs and practices a high standard of care for all our patients.
We are committed to preventative patient care and providing compassionate service while cultivating long-term relationships
with clients and coworkers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assisting veterinarians during examinations and surgical procedures.
  • Performing laboratory tests, including blood work, urinalysis, and cytology.
  • Preparing and maintaining medical records for each patient.
  • Administering medications and vaccinations as directed by the veterinarian.
  • Monitoring patients’ vital signs and overall health during treatments.
  • Performing routine animal dental procedures and assisting with animal dentistry.
  • Providing nursing care and rehabilitation therapy for animals.
  • Providing wound and bandage care.
  • Educating pet owners on proper animal care and post-treatment instructions.
  • Maintaining cleanliness and organization of the clinic, including sterilizing instruments and equipment.

Requirements & Qualifications

  • Ability to lift items and safely restrain pets.
  • Registered Veterinary Technologist with British Columbia Veterinary Technologists Association (BCVTA).
  • Veterinary Technician National Exam (VTNE).
  • Experience: New graduates are welcome to apply.
  • Knowledge of Ezyvet Veterinary Software is an asset.
  • Ability to commute/relocate: Langley, BC V3A 4H6 — reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required).
